About the product
Renewable energy, produced from bagasse resulting from sugarcane milling. During harvest periods, Goiasa is self-sufficient and the excess energy generated is destined for commercialization.
The production process
After the sugarcane harvest, the transformation process begins with the crushing of the cane, whose purpose is to extract the juice with the minimum loss of sugars from the cane, as well as to reduce the final moisture of the bagasse.
After extracting the juice, the bagasse is transported by conveyor belts to the boilers, being the only fuel used in the production of steam, generating all the energy needed for sugarcane processing. In addition, it produces up to 21 MWh of surplus electricity for sale, which would supply around 100,000 homes.
